Support for excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis causes the body to sweat more than it needs to, often affecting the underarms, hands, feet, or face. It can interfere with daily comfort—but it’s a very treatable condition. At Park City Dermatology & Aesthetics, we offer a range of effective treatment options, including in-office treatments like Botox®. Dr. Stolman’s experience managing hyperhidrosis at the University of Utah helps inform our approach.

Sweaty hands
  • Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes excessive sweating beyond what your body needs to regulate temperature. It commonly affects the underarms, hands, feet, and face, and can occur even without heat or physical activity.

  • Hyperhidrosis can be primary (without an underlying condition) or related to factors such as medications or medical conditions. A proper evaluation helps determine the cause and guide the most effective treatment.

  • Yes—hyperhidrosis is very manageable with the right approach. Treatment options may include topical therapies, oral medications, or in-office treatments like Botox®. Your provider will help determine the best plan based on your symptoms and goals.

  • Botox® can be used to temporarily block the signals that trigger sweat production in targeted areas, most commonly the underarms. This can significantly reduce sweating for several months at a time. Because treating hyperhidrosis is different from cosmetic Botox, it’s important that treatment is guided by a medical evaluation and a clear understanding of the condition. In a dermatology setting, this helps ensure the right areas are treated safely, effectively, and with the best possible results.
