Steven Kern, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon with more than three decades of clinical experience. He has been in private practice since 1991 and has served patients in California, Arizona, and Utah.

A native of Southern California, Dr. Kern graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado at Boulder before earning his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at USC, followed by a year of research in Boston at the U.S.D.A. Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, where he studied the biological mechanisms of skin aging. His research has contributed to several scientific publications.

Dr. Kern completed his residency in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the University of California, San Diego, where he served as Chief Resident. He practiced in San Diego for many years before relocating to Park City in 2006. Dr. Kern is an active member of multiple professional medical societies.
