Shari Quinton, DNP, FNP-C

Shari Quinton, DNP, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner specializing in general dermatology for patients of all ages. Shari is passionate about providing patient centered care and takes the time to understand each patient’s unique concerns, empowering them to make informed, wholistic decisions about their skin and their health.

Shari earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Utah. Shari's nursing experience includes many years working in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, the emergency department, and the surgical intensive care unit, as well as positions in nursing leadership. While earning her Doctorate degree, she completed the interdisciplinary Utah AHEC Scholars program with a focus on improving health and outcomes in rural healthcare.

Shari completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Palliative Care at the University of Utah and is board certified as a Palliative Care and Family nurse practitioner. Prior to her career in healthcare, Shari earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Washington and still enjoys viewing and creating art of all kinds.

Shari is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Utah Nurse Practitioner Association, the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, the Emergency Nurses Association, and the American Association of Critical-Care nurses.

When she is not at work, Shari enjoys volunteering, traveling, life-long learning, dancing, and spending time with her family, dogs, and chickens. She can often be found outside working in the yard, running, hiking, and exploring—always sporting her signature wide-brimmed hat and SPF 30+.
