I'm normally not one to insist that physician-only skincare products are superior, but when it comes to lip plumpers, my list of favorites looks like the inventory at a dermatologist's office. The latest to make an impossibly great impression on me is the Defining Lip Plumper from Vivite.
Greatly expanded since their original handful of exfoliating, hydrating and protecting formulas, Vivite really wowed me by making this formula everything most lip plumpers aren't: creamy, gentle and effective. Instead of being a typical gloss or balm, Defining Lip Plumper has a lotion-like texture that goes on without a hint of that sting we all wait for.
Instantly, my lips felt super-soft and looked more pillowy. The matte finish makes it perfect for pre-lipstick application; and because it doesn't have shine or color, I don't worry about it getting all over my bedding when I apply it before going to sleep.
The blend of antioxidants - like that of green tea, chamomile and vitamin E - and plumpers like palmitoyl oligopeptide and tribehenin leave lines out of the picture so lips can look smooth and full. And quite frankly, I have yet to find an over-the-counter option that can compete with that. |
